The Mentors For Fatherless Children and Abused Families (MFCAF) organization traces its origins back to December 2021, when it was founded by Leo Robinson and Samara Jules-Robinson in East Orlando, FL. Initially operating with limited resources, the organization's commitment to its mission of positively impacting the community has remained unwavering. Through self-funding events and services, MFCAF began its journey, driven by core values of peace, love, and unity.
Over the past two years, MFCAF has focused on three primary programs: Career Path Mentoring, Family Support Mentoring, and Sports and Music Mentoring. These initiatives aim to uplift, educate, and motivate individuals, with a particular emphasis on fatherless children and abused families. Through a comprehensive approach, MFCAF has successfully served over 250 families and community members, contributing to the reduction of crime rates, domestic violence, and bullying.
Recognizing the growing demand for its services, especially amidst the economic challenges of the pandemic, MFCAF has strategic plans to develop or relocate to a new facility. This move seeks to centralize operations for a more impactful presence, collaborating with local authorities, schools, churches, and playgrounds to expand outreach and support.
The foundation of MFCAF can be traced back to the Intervention Home, established by Leo Robinson and Samara Jules-Robinson in East Orlando, providing a safe haven for at-risk teens. This model, now poised for replication in Orange County neighborhoods, reflects MFCAF's commitment to fostering transformative change and creating secure spaces for vulnerable individuals.
Looking ahead, MFCAF remains dedicated to its mission of uplifting and transforming the lives of fatherless children and abused families. The organization actively seeks sponsors and partners who share its vision and believe in the positive impact it can make. With their support, MFCAF aims to continue creating a brighter future for those in need, fostering positive change and empowerment within the community.
Additionally, the MFCAF Family Support and Engagement Program has been designed to address the unique needs of fatherless children and abused families through a multifaceted approach. This program emphasizes collaboration, mentorship, and community involvement through various components:
Through these initiatives, MFCAF aims to provide comprehensive support to fatherless children and abused families, empowering them to overcome challenges and thrive.

At our Intervention Home and Center, we are dedicated to establishing a nurturing environment for children and families. Within our facility, we offer a Release Room, mentoring sessions, and holistic activities designed to provide stress relief and essential information to address crises. Our primary focus is on supporting at-risk youth aged 13 to 18 who lack a positive male father-figure or role model in their lives, especially considering the alarming statistic of 17.8 million children growing up without their fathers in American homes in 2023.
This unfortunate reality contributes to a heightened prevalence of abuse, leaving many young men struggling to find guidance on their journey to authentic manhood through unconventional sources like social media, TV, movies, or the internet. Our organization is steadfast in its commitment to breaking the cycle of fatherlessness by making a profound impact on the lives of boys growing up without stable family structures.
Our dedicated mentors engage in ongoing daily relational mentoring, conducting weekly meetings encompassing various activities such as park visits, counseling sessions, movies, events, sports, dining out, field trips, academic support, and career planning. By providing a safe space for open discussions, these meetings foster trust, enabling our mentors to encourage, affirm, coach, and boost the confidence of at-risk youth and families facing abuse.
To sustain and expand these impactful activities and services, we invite your support and involvement. Your contribution will play a crucial role in helping us realize our vision of providing guidance, mentorship, and a safe haven for those who need it most. Together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of these individuals and work towards breaking the cycle of fatherlessness in our society.
